People are enjoying their swimming pools and spas but the use of fountains, ponds, waterfalls, and bird baths have added to the enjoyment. Observing movement of water, the birds taking a bath, or a sunset reflecting in a pool or pond is a very relaxing way to end a great day.And when the sun sets, what do you do? Of course, you gather everyone around your in ground fire pit or fireplace; start up a fire and enjoy a great meal watching the flames flicker and glow. And in the background listen to water cascading over the waterfall.

Our mission as hardscape designers is to take your ideas and what you would like to feel, and transpose them into the place that allows you to experience the sights, sounds, and environment that makes you happy to be in the place you created.

Hardscaping Materials:

What are hardscapes?

Usually hardscapes refers to elements of a project that are not living such as trees, plants and flowers. Boulders, walls, walkways, structures, ponds, pools, spas, paver walkways and driveways, play stations, and just about anything you would build outside could be considered hardscapes

While hardscape landscaping focuses on the non-living portion of your landscape, many times live plants will be used to accent or tone down the hardscape construction. An arbor covered with roses would be considered an example of how hardscape designers would enhance the entrance to a garden.

Our focus on hardscape design is to use those materials and structures to create the outdoor living design that matches your expectations. A peaceful harmony should exist between each element of the hardscape construction and the use of live plants is the key to linking everything together. If you think of the many elements of the hardscapes, landscaping without including the plants to soften a wall or to create a central focal point using a Japanese maple or a crape myrtle, it would appear as if something is missing and would feel incomplete. Not only do plants bring a garden hardscape together, but a patio water feature brings sound, reflection and calmness to the landscape. Residential water features have increased in recent years as more people are enjoying spending time at home.
